Defining the World of Red Dead
I led the creative direction across key art, campaigns, character and environment art, trailers, social content, store assets, and merchandise—guiding a team of 30+ artists while collaborating with marketing, dev teams, motion artists, localization, and Rockstar’s founders to deliver a cohesive, cinematic visual identity that aligned with the game’s tone and scale.
Building On Greatness
At the heart of the Red Dead Redemption II campaign was a creative challenge: to craft a fresh visual identity for a highly anticipated sequel while honoring the bold, iconic aesthetic of the original. Cinematic, gritty, and emotionally charged, the style drew from western iconography but was elevated through modern storytelling and design. Our task was to distill this rich world into powerful, recognizable imagery that would both sell the game and set the tone for its legacy.
Red Dead Redemption II is the highly anticipated sequel to Rockstar’s critically acclaimed Red Dead Redemption. When designing the key art and full campaign, our goal was to capture the essence of what made the game so compelling. We evolved the original’s bold graphic style, contrasting it with the sequel’s stunningly immersive visuals, while drawing inspiration from classic spaghetti western posters and the films that influenced the game’s story.
We set out to create key art and a campaign as iconic as the game itself—one that would resonate with players and stand the test of time. The imagery highlights Arthur Morgan, the game’s protagonist, while also nodding to the Van der Linde gang and the vast, untamed world waiting to be explored, evoking a sense of adventure, danger, and mystery.

Its breathtaking visuals and rich storytelling elevate it beyond entertainment, immersing players in a world that is both historically authentic and artistically striking.
